Welcome to JudaicaLink!
JudaicaLink is the knowledge graph behind the Specialized Information Service Jewish Studies (Fachinformationsdienst Jüdische Studien, FID) of the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg in Frankfurt am Main. It brings together reference works, encyclopediae and research data on Jewish culture and history as Linked Open Data.
This is the site of the JudaicaLink project at Mannheim Technical University, where JudaicaLink is developed further: the data model, the generation and cleaning of the data, the entity pages and new ways to use the graph. Here you find news about our work, the datasets of our current data version, our ontology, the source code and the people behind the project.
New developments are shown on mannheim.judaicalink.org before they go into production, with the latest version of the knowledge graph and these showcases:
- Atlas: the people, organisations and publications of JudaicaLink on a map, in time and space, with their connections.
- Footprints: where Jewish books were printed and where their copies went.
- Compact Memory: the Jewish periodicals, by full text and by the people, places and works they mention.
- Library of Haskala: the books, authors and printers of the Jewish Enlightenment.

Footprints: the complete dataset, and a map of where the books wentFootprints: Jewish Books Through Time and Place collects the evidence that a copy of a Jewish book was at a place at a time: an owner’s signature, a censor’s mark, a bookseller’s catalogue, a library catalogue. A new version of the JudaicaLink dataset footprints now holds all of it, and a new showcase puts it on a map.

DFG approves a fourth funding phase for the FID Jewish StudiesThe German Research Foundation has approved a new three-year funding phase for the FID Jüdische Studien, with up to two million euros for the central research information infrastructure for Jewish and Israel Studies.
