Announced: Hands-on workshop on Wikidata for Jewish Studies
The FID Jewish Studies and the academy project Buber-Korrespondenzen Digital announced a hands-on Wikidata workshop for 8 and 9 September 2025 at the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz.
The workshop follows on from the 2024 workshop on authority data and is aimed at researchers at any career stage who structure and curate data in their own projects. Participants were asked to bring a research project and a dataset of their own. The programme covers collaborative work in Wikidata and introduces the WikiProject format, including what it could mean for Jewish Studies.
Wikidata matters to JudaicaLink beyond the workshop: opening the knowledge graph towards Wikidata, so that the research community can contribute to and reuse the data directly, is one of the goals of the current funding phase.
